From risk management to cyber threat, from the national cloud to certifications. Intensive training on cybersecurity in the Public Administration starts. From 12 to 14 July in Rome, at the headquarters of the National School of Administration, the first Summer School on cyber security will be held aimed at the heads of central public administrations: the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministries, as well as INPS, Inail, Istat, Revenue Agency, Customs and Monopolies Agency, constitutional bodies. The initiative is promoted by the National Cybersecurity Agency, the National School of Administration and the Department of Public Function, in collaboration with the Department for Information and Security, the Department for Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Defense and the Postal Police. Objective: to offer those who hold top positions an opportunity to deepen the risks associated with cyber security and the tools to recognize, prevent and combat them. An essential training action to begin to equip all institutions with the skills and competences necessary to face hacker attacks and avoid service interruptions. "The challenge of digital transformation – underlines Paola Severino, president of the National School of Administration – can only be won if the PA is able to seize all the opportunities and remove the many risks. It is therefore essential to teach managers and officials of the Public Administration how to prevent attacks on the computer network and how to ensure cybersecurity. To achieve this result, it is necessary to introduce new training models in which multidisciplinary teachings converge, comparisons between communities of practice, dialogues between the public and private systems". The Summer School will be inaugurated on Tuesday 12 July with the institutional greetings of the Minister for Public Administration, Renato Brunetta, the Director General of the National Cybersecurity Agency, Roberto Baldoni, and the President of the National School of Administration, Paola Severino, and will see the participation, among the teachers, of experts from the administrations that organize the initiative and Leonardo's Cyber & Security Academy. Concrete cases will be shared and analyzed, with reference to the four technical-operational pillars of the National Cybersecurity Strategy 2022-2026: cybersecurity and resilience, prevention and contrast of cybercrime, defense and military security of the State, research and information processing. "Having a clear awareness of cyber risk and acting accordingly – highlights Roberto Baldoni, director general of the National Cybersecurity Agency – is one of the first objectives to be achieved for the managers of a modern and agile PA. The Summer School is part of a multidimensional national commitment on training in the cyber sector and digital transformation that will soon involve our girls and boys in the area through targeted initiatives starting from October".
