New data from Check Point Software shows a further increase in cyber attacks during the Russia-Ukraine conflict
Check Point Research (CPR), the Threat Intelligence division of Check Point Software Technologies, a provider of cybersecurity solutions globally, shares another update on the trend of cyber-attacks inherent in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Last week, both Russia and Ukraine saw an increase in cyber attacks, by 10% and 17% respectively. CPR also observed a global increase of 16%. • In Europe, the average weekly attacks by organization last week was 18% higher than before the start of the conflict • In APAC, the same average last week was 16% higher than before the start of the conflict • In North America, the average weekly attacks by organization last week was 14% higher than before the start of the conflict • In Israel, on the other hand, last week the average weekly attacks by organizations was 14% higher than before the start of the conflict - especially in the government / military sectors. In Ukraine last week, the weekly average was 1,697 attacks per organization. 39% more than before the start of the conflict, and 17% more than the previous week. By contrast, in Russia, the weekly average over the same period was 1,550 attacks. 22% more than before the start of the conflict and 10% more than the previous week.
